DAVID HEATH OBITUARY

David Heath, Jr., 91, of Kinston passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at home surrounded by his family.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday at 11am at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service and other times at the home.

David was a native of Duplin County and was the owner of Heath's Welding for 27 years. Prior to welding, he worked as an electrician. He was a member of Jackson Heights OFWB Church where he sang in the choir and served as a deacon for many years. He was also a member of St. John's #4 Masonic Lodge for close to 40 years. He was an avid checker player and loved his little dogs, even teaching one to play the banjo.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and a granddaughter.

David is survived by his wife of 69 years, Shirley Heath; daughters, Annette Salyards and husband Robert of Ligonier, PA, Angie Nottonson of Kinston, and Andrea Grant and husband Frank of Snow Hill; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, extended family, and his breakfast friends from Hardees.

David was a ACF and NCCA member, who with Cecil Lowe sponsored several State playoffs.
